Valley Children's Hospital

This hospital is horrible its gone down hill these passed 10 years for sure. If you have little ones go somewhere else. PLEASE!!!! We brought my son in here for blockage isssue because he don't eat normal foods (texture issues and getting tested for autism). He was severely dehydrated and throwing up stomach bile to be left in the waiting room for 5 hr which it wasn't busy at all. Then to be placed in a filthy rm. The nurses were extremely unprofessional they did my son IV and lost the needle part in the bed and was like ummm I'm not sure if I put it in the sharps container to later find it. The doctors and nurses don't communicate well at all. They were not supposed to be giving my son solids because of a possible procedure however the ditsy nurse gave him solids. The staff is all over the place on what's next to help my son. I feel like we've wasted 2 days here just to have to drive 2 hrs back home and potentially another hospital because my sons still not well.

Honestly I was very disappointed. People tell me about their great experience here, and I took in my 16 month old due to him not breathing normally. We waited in the waiting room for about 5 hours, so that’s when we decided to leave. We had spent 5 hours in the waiting area, plus we were going to spend 2+ hours in the room. We were done. I mean I thought we were going to be seen quicker due to him working really hard to breathe but I guess that wasn’t a priority. We couldn’t check his oxygen because he gets really scared and cries. After leaving the hospital, I called his pediatrician in a different city and they squeezed in an appointment for him that same day and finally got a diagnosis and got a breathing treatment in the clinic.

The best pediatric intensive care units hands down! I’m very happy with the care from this hospital. The nurses, respiratory therapists and doctors are awesome!!! Quint was one of the nurses we had a few times. He stayed in the room his whole shift by himself while my son had a bad night. Jay was another nurse who first took care of my son and he was awesome as well and very knowledgeable. Both the respitory therapists were great! One was named Jamie. I cant remember everyone’s names but they were all wonderful and I’m beyond grateful for all of them! Thank you for the wonderful care!

Tonight I was VERY disappointed in Valley Children's ER. My 1 yr old hadn't used the bathroom for 3 to 4 days. Has had constipation issues since he was a baby. I'm talking so bad he screams, cries and hollars every time he goes #2. Breaks my heart, so I took him in because his Dr of ours taking to long for referral to a GI, thanks to good old medi-cal. I'm tired of seeing my baby in pain. So we waited for about 4hrs, which was weird because there were hardly any patients there. Flow of things were moving hell of slow, not to sure why. We finally get called back Rm #44, which was the same room we were in the last time we were there. How are you a children's hospital and you can't even clean the rooms properly. All they do is wipe the bed, changed the sheets from what I seen. Our room was gross, trash can full of GOD knows what, left over patients trash on the floor along with a cap from some type of needle. Just to have a nurse come a little later after we had his xray taken because I mentioned to them that the room was filthy and they need better care especially dealing with children. So she asked if I would like to be moved to another room and I said yes as long as it's clean. Just to get in there and yet again caps from needles and who knows what else on the floor. I put all the pictures from both rooms. Smh I understand you get busy, but this is children care and they deserve a nice and clean place when they aren't feeling well. Yall have to do better this is the only place they have for emergency care. This specific hall doesn't seem as caring and clean as the other side I've been on which was A side I believe. You wait that long to tell me no blockage, wh8ch is good to hear, but there's a lot of build up in there and that I have to find a way to regulate his #2 so it doesn't come out hard a clay dirt. So he gives me miralax. I will be glad to get a specialists 2nd opinion. Help me!! Exhausted is an understatement!

I come here every week to the cray Croft unit good staff there but the ICU on the other hand is horrible my daughter is there for a serious reason and 90% of the nurses make you feel vary unwelcome I’m here now and the looks and attitude is unbelievable I have no idea how they allow this to happen vary disappointed The ICU is making me and Mom stay A whole lot more stressful how these nurses have no people, skills, were debating if we should make Stanford Hospital our primary, even though it’s three hours away, other than the Encounters with these ICU nurses I would give five stars little kindness goes along way in these situations

Endocrinology department or whoever answers their phones are a joke. Extremely rude and no help. My 8 year old has been having problems with her insulin I’ve called multiple times to speak to someone about what to do and no answer. Finally got an answer after 3 days and the lady was extremely rude told me to call Dexcom to get the problem resolved? Makes no sense.

I took my daughter to Valley Children's Hospital on 8/3/23 arrived at 12:09am and still haven't been seen and it's exactly 5:44am. Today was my worse experience ever! Not to be rude but not only did my eyes seen it but the cameras in the lobby recorded it how they started bringing in other people that came in wayyyyy after me and my daughter. If I can give no stars I would do it in a heartbeat over and over again.

By far the worst most horrific traumatizing event of my life took my son in and an ambulance I was told that I was don't referred by VCHso we arrived in a Ambulance I had my son in my arms laying down across my chest yet my discharge paperwork I finally got after being kicked out by sheriff and told that I have to say goodbye to my son . Then they put that at( initial encounter) They (suspected abandonment) wow!? I still can't believe that the labs came in at 4p.m when my son had already been done with surgery 'not a real surgery" but put asleep so he wouldn't move while placing a cast on his leg yet it was done to tight they had to do it over. This Hospital stole MY SON 19 MONTHS OLD NOT RIGHT THEY KICKED ME OUT I DIDNT ABANDON MY SON THE SHERIFF' TOLD ME TO BE ESCORTED OUT BY SSW. I TOLD THEM THIS WASNT RIGHT I WAS THE ONLY ONE TO MAKE DECISIONS OVER HIM. THEY TOLD ME THAT ILL HAVE COURT IN A DAY OR 2. YET THEY HAD MY SON ALREADY VERIFIED FOR AN APPOINTMENT FOR ASSESSMENT HED never needed found ineligible well that's BECAUSE THERE WAS NO OTHER Signs OF ABUSE ! NOT EVEN A( ADVOCATE CHILD ABUSE REPORT MADE) HOW is it that THEY STILL TOOK MY SON? HOW CAN THIS EVEN BE IF THERE IS NO CHILD ABUSE ADVOCACY REPORT FROM THIS HOSPITAL? CLEAR AND CONVINCING EVIDENCE MISSING DOCUMENTS FOR MY SONS PLACEMENT AND ADOPTION AND TERMINATION OF PARENTAL RIGHTS YOU WOULD THINK THAT WOULD BE#1 traumatizing children's future now that's Neglect from the hospital Child Abuse referral to them!
